It is also recommended that faculty do NOT check the box ‘Lock students into the browser until exam is completed’ under Advanced Settings (see screenshot).
Students wanting to install the software ahead of time should go to. Students will need to install the LockDown Browser application before starting a quiz, so faculty should build extra time into the quiz if there has not been a practice quiz.
Note that LockDown Browser is only available for Mac, PC and iPads. It is recommended that you post a practice quiz for your students so they can get comfortable with using Respondus before using it with a high-stakes assessment.
